Finally Some Meat!!!
The Mudbugs sign a guy over 6ft. yea, and with a scoring touch, even better. I am very pleased at this signing of Joe Blaznek, I have always liked him as a player and thought he was a classy person as well. A piece of the puzzle that will fit in very nicely. Fit into what we do not know as of yet.
Furthermore, I must ask a question that has been bugging me all throughout the summer. And I want the answer to come from the front office, whom in my opinion does a lousy ass job of PR work in letting us season ticket holders and gamers know what the hell is going on once in a while. As I was saying I want to know is Joe Ori in or out, if so that’s terrific, if not please stop counting him as one of the players in camp. The last press release says we have 6 players in camp. Please clear up this confusion.
Here it is almost September and I have an idea when training camp opens, and that both preseason game are going to be played in Mississippi against the RiverKings, thanks to a press release from Riverkings.com. But have we heard a peep out of our own front office? I guess it’s on a need to know basis and they feel us fans don’t need to know. What a pathetic approach.
I never do but, let’s say I wait until October 17th to buy my season tickets, and furthermore because I am not properly prepared for the season, I lose patience and interest and decide not to buy season tickets?
Now we all know the earlier the season tickets are purchased the better it is for the teams budget for the upcoming season. Therefore I can’t understand why there isn’t more attention payed to bringing the Mudbugs out of the closet so to speak over the summer. Simple more news from the team, the more the excitment and curiosity for the upcoming season builds up. We played all year round up north.
I don’t know how I ended up on that path just then but it was a path that needed mowing nevertheless. I would just like for once to see the Mudbug brass step up to the plate and put to rest all the mysteries surrounding this team. I believe it can be done without Muscutt giving up his precious secrets to the rest of the frigging world, like they really care anymore or will find out anything new. Don’t you think they all know by now the kind of players he drafts, they know the system he employs, so I ask where are the secrets anyway.
Don’t get me wrong, believe it or not I do feel Scott Muscutt is a very fine coach, but his way has a burnout button to it that begs change. The question is will he be the one who changes or will the Mudbugs make him change his place of employment. Much better coaches than he have gotten the pink slip. It’s tough being a coach in this business because it is always about what can you do for me NOW.
Change eventually may be the best thing for his career and the best thing for the team to move on to a new era as well. It will be very hard to do someday, but it is going to happen. Let’s all hope it happens for the best of everyone and not the worst. But I think that the friendship is too strong for that.
