I have checked and checked… every website in the Central Hockey League and I have found that every other team has at least (1) one game scheduled for preseason, except for us. What a surprise!

We are at 35 days and counting ‘till the Oct. 16th season opener, and it would be nice to have something in the way of an announcement.

I think I can speak for every Mudbug fan when I say “Please” we are just slobbering all over ourselves like a rabid bulldog to get a glimpse of our team. If anyone has seen the Tom Hank’s movie Turner and Hooch, they would know exactly what I mean when I use the word slobbering.

I’m not usually one to post anything until it I have a reliable confirmation, but in this case it’s closer to the truth than being just a cruel rumor.

Heard from a friend who -  heard from a friend who – heard it from another we have a preseason game at ho-ome. (Sorry for the cheap rendition or parts there of to one of many REO Speedwagon hit songs titled “ Take it on the Run”)

Overall, though, the Mudbug Organization has done a better job of announcing signings and promotions earlier than I can ever remember. Continue Reading »

It’s beginning to smell better everyday we draw closer  to that forever labeled “season that almost wasn’t”  It’s as if someone had covered the upheaval of doubt that surrounded this teams future with a big spray bottle of that fine smelling Febreze.

I don’t about your outlook to the season ahead, but mine is renewed, charged and ready to go! I also have to figure the players returning from last seasons roster are feeling the same way.

There will be a new sense of resurgence, fire and excitement surrounding the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs organization and its fans to start the 2009-2010 season.  What effect will it all have on the success of the team? Well, let’s just say, I can’t wait to find out.
